Biography

Troy R. Candiotti was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As a teenager, he moved with his family to North Carolina, where he attended high school. In 2013, Mr. Candiotti graduated from Gettysburg College, where he majored in Political Science, focusing on Public Policy. Mr. Candiotti then moved back to Los Angeles, where he acquired a Paralegal Certificate from University of California, Los Angeles – Extension, and worked for various plaintiffs’ and public interest law firms. Mr. Candiotti graduated from Loyola Law School in May 2019. While in law school, Mr. Candiotti received top tier grades, including in Torts I and II, Civil Procedure, Environmental Law, Internet Law, and Appellate Advocacy. During his studies, Mr. Candiotti gravitated towards civil rights issues and became a legal fellow for Common Cause in 2018. As a legal fellow, Mr. Candiotti worked on voting rights issues nationwide, some ultimately resolved before the United States Supreme Court, like in the cases of Virginia House of Delegates v. Bethune-Hill, and United States Department of Commerce v. State of New York. In July 2019, Mr. Candiotti sat for and successfully passed the California Bar Exam. In September 2019, Mr. Candiotti was hired as a Law Clerk at a consumer protection firm and promoted to Associate Attorney upon receiving his California Law License. There, he specialized in discovery motion practice and taking depositions of corporate representatives. In November 2020, Mr. Candiotti transitioned to Plaintiff’s employment law. In addition to working on harassment, discrimination, and relatiation cases, Mr. Candiotti has developed an expertise in wage and hour disputes pursuant to the California Domestic Worker Bill of Rights, which governs minimum wage and overtime for caregivers. In July of 2022, Mr. Candiotti was hired by Reisner & King LLP, where he aggressively litigates for aggrieved employees under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act and other statutes. When not working, Mr. Candiotti enjoys travelling, playing music, cooking, and exploring LA’s always evolving trendy bar scene.
